The event’s purpose is to support the victims of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. As the official number of dead and missing has risen to over 20,000 and damage estimated in the tens of billions, this proud and prosperous country is overwhelmed by the devastation. Northern California Japanese Restaurant Association (NCJRA) and Nikko Hotel San Francisco have partnered with other respected leaders and organizations in Northern California to establish Hope To Japan Committee (HTJC) to help rebuild Japan.
